Your letters make a difference

Please keep sending us your Letters to Seniors for our Meals on Wheels delivery – your letters really are making a difference. We’d like to introduce you to Linda, one of our grateful letter recipients. Linda is a very kind and social woman who lives alone in a senior’s apartment building.

She has been a client of One Care for many years and often visits our Stratford office to chat when she picks up her frozen meals. A visit from Linda is always a highlight of the day for our staff – she knows each of them by name and even knows their birthdays. She asks the staff about their families and shares funny stories with them. Now, with the high risks for seniors from COVID-19, Linda is no longer able to visit our office or even leave her home, and as we continue to support her we now deliver her meals to her door using our no-contact delivery process. Today, we had the pleasure of delivering to Linda one of your letters from our Letters to Seniors campaign when we dropped off her frozen meals. Linda was so touched by the letter. She said it was so special to receive it that she placed the on the front of her fridge to see it throughout her week. Linda could not stop smiling, she was so happy to know that someone cared about her well-being.
