At ONE CARE, we believe everyone deserves the support they need to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. By leaving a legacy gift, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of seniors and people with health challenges in our community.
Why Leave a Legacy?
A legacy gift is a powerful way to:
Ensure future generations have access to the care they need.
Support programs and services that help people remain safe and connected at home.
Leave a lasting tribute that reflects your values and compassion.
Types of Gifts:
There are many ways you can include ONE CARE in your future plans:
-
The donor specifies a dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or a specific asset (such as property or investments) to be given after their passing.
-
Donors contribute a large gift (during life or through their estate) to build long-term sustainability.
-
A donor can:
Transfer ownership of an existing policy,
Take out a new policy in ONE CARE’s name, or
Name ONE CARE as a beneficiary.
-
By naming ONE CARE as the beneficiary, after the donor’s passing the remaining balance goes directly to ONE CARE.
-
The donor places assets (cash, securities, or real estate) into a trust. They receive income from it, and upon their death or the end of the trust term, the remaining value goes to ONE CARE.
-
Donors can transfer ownership now (and possibly retain the right to live there through a “life interest”) or leave it through their will.
Other types of gifts will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require board approval.
