Seniors Active Living Center

Dawson Hallahan from MPP Lisa Thompson’s office and ONE CARE representatives: Shelly McPhee-Haist, Madison Stephenson.

The Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) in Clinton is a vibrant community hub designed to help older adults stay active, independent, and socially connected. Located at the Betty Cardno Memorial Centre, the SALC offers a wide variety of programs — from exercise and wellness classes to community meals, arts and cultural activities, caregiver support groups, and educational workshops — all tailored to promote health, inclusion, and lifelong learning.

This new centre enhances ONE CARE’s existing Wellness Programs and adds to the broad range of services we provide, including Meals on Wheels, transportation, adult day programs, and in-home support. Together, these services create opportunities for seniors to thrive, reduce social isolation, and maintain a strong sense of community close to home.

Funding and Partnerships

The Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) is made possible through an annual $55,000 grant starting in the 2025-2026 fiscal year. This funding enables ONE CARE to expand its programs and forge new partnerships with local municipalities and organizations, ensuring the sustainability and growth of this vital community resource. We are grateful to our partners that have come forward in supporting ONE CARE.
