Staying active is essential for healthy aging, helping to maintain strength, balance, and functional abilities needed for daily life. Regular exercise reduces the risk of falls, promotes independence, and enhances overall well-being.
ONE CARE offers Falls Prevention and Exercise Classes throughout Huron County and the City of Stratford, with both in-person and virtual options available. Our classes also include educational opportunities to empower participants to adopt a more active and healthy lifestyle.
Volunteer Opportunity – Become an Exercise Instructor!
Do you have a passion for fitness? We are looking for volunteer Exercise Instructors to lead one-hour exercise classes.
No experience necessary – full training is provided by ONE CARE!

Seniors’ Centre Without Walls
A free, telephone-based program providing group activities and social connection
Offers health-related discussions, brain-stimulating exercises, and friendship-building opportunities
Designed for isolated, lonely, or vulnerable seniors
Yoga
Gentle yoga classes specifically designed for seniors
Helps improve flexibility, balance, posture, and stress reduction
Qigong for Wellbeing
A meditative healing practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine
Benefits include reduced stress, improved balance, and enhanced focus
Nordic Poling
A full-body, cardio-muscular workout, similar to cross-country skiing
Uses specialized walking poles to engage the arms, back, core, and legs
Suitable for seniors of all fitness levels
