ONE CARE introduces new safety and security measure with the installation of “dash cams” within fleet of vehicles

As of June 24, 2026, ONE CARE’s fleet of agency vehicles are now equipped with dash cameras with both audio and video recording capabilities. The purpose of this system is to enhance safety and provide protection for everyone involved—drivers, clients, and the organization.

Specifically, the cameras are intended to:

  • Support client safety and well-being

  • Provide accurate information in the event of an accident, incident, complaint, or safety concern

  • Assist with investigations when required

  • Help protect agency vehicles and equipment

All clients will be notified in advance of their ride that ONE CARE vehicles now include audio/visual recording devices and client content must be provided before booking all future rides with ONE CARE’s EasyRide transportation service.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A dash cam (short for dashboard camera) is a small, specialized video camera mounted to a vehicle's windshield or dashboard. It continuously records the view of the road ahead and acts as an unbiased eyewitness, providing crucial video evidence in the event of traffic incidents, accidents, or insurance fraud.

  • The primary purpose of the camera system is safety and protection for everyone involved: drivers, clients, and the organization. The system will provide accurate information if there is an accident, incident, complaint or a safety concern.

  • The system will capture audio and video while the vehicle is operating or during active transport periods. We understand drivers and clients may discuss sensitive or personal matters during trips. The organization will follow all applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements regarding recorded information.

  • Access to recordings will be strictly limited to authorized personnel only as outlined in our Dash Camera Policies and Procedures. Recordings will not be publicly shared or casually reviewed.

  • The organization has reviewed all legal and privacy requirements related to notification and consent.

Clients will be informed that vehicles are equipped with audio/video recording systems, and consent is obtained at the time of Intake (for new clients) or booking (for existing clients), intake materials, on the ONE CARE website and signage on the vehicles

The organization will ensure processes comply with applicable privacy legislation and organizational policy.

  • If new or existing clients do not wish not to be recorded, ONE CARE is unable to book rides through the EasyRide transportation service at this time.
