Adult Day Programs
Social Activities to Support Older Adults
Adult Day programs offer supervised programming in a group setting – to assist frail elderly and those with chronic illness or cognitive disability. These programs also include assistance with personal care – such as bathing and foot care. Clients who attend the programs enjoy activities, exercise, good nutrition and social time. As well, there are special programs, such as the Stroke program, and other specialized services like the swimming program and specific days for identified client groups such as dementia and Alzheimer’s are held.
Overnight Respite Not only do the Adult Day programs provide a day out for clients, but they also provide caregiver relief. Overnight Respite is offered at Adult Day Centres in Wingham and Goderich.
